I love the beginning of a new year, but for some reason, my One Word has taken some time for me to consider. But now I know. The Spirit is leading me to a simple word and a very familiar scripture, but the truth is, being still and listening are difficult.
This is the year I plan to take time to listen. Not only to listen to others, such as members of my congregation and family and friends but to listen with intention to the moving of the Spirit in my life. Have you ever sat in silence for one entire minute? It’s forever! But I know that God is urging me to take time this year and that is what I plan to do, and hopefully well.
