I talked to one of my dearest friends last week. She was my mom’s best friend for many years. I can always call her and count on her when I need to talk. Sometimes you just need to call your mom when your child is sick and in the hospital…just because. And when you are “alone” in the world without your parents or siblings, it is always a hard time.
In our conversation she said that she never would have imagined that my husband and I would be where we are at…in ministry…in another state…stepping out in faith and following God’s call to our lives.
Honestly, I would never have dreamed it either! And when I look back on to our move to New Mexico, those early years in ministry were filled with some doubt. I didn’t realize then that God was working on my heart, my skills and most of all my passion to serve. I launched my speaking ministry all of those years ago and never could understand why it was not moving forward. And now it is.
I thought I was ready then, but God knew better.
It’s all about His time….can I hear an “Amen” to that?!

- Freshly sharpened pencils
- Homemade popcorn
- A boss with an enormous amount of compassion
- A leaky basement
- Ears and a heart open to God
