My book has launched and a four year passion project comes to an end, but not a complete end. There is still much to do in the way of promoting and reaching out to the audiences that I think would benefit from the book, so the journey is not over. But for the first time in many months I feel like I can breathe. Thanksgiving was amazing as I had all of my men under my roof and my oldest sons’ roommate. I was able to love and adore them with one of my love languages….food! I love to cook for my family. It was a truly wonderful day.
Our house has been decorated for the Christmas season, the Advent season has begun and we had a lovely Hanging of the Greens service this morning. Advent is a time of preparation. And for me, I am working on preparing my heart to receive the Good News, the birth of Jesus. I want to dig deeper into my spiritual practices and take time to sit and contemplate the different things I am learning in my time in devotion with God.
On another note, I have written before about my chronic pain. I’ve had issues with neck and back problems for years and even had a neck fusion in 2016. Unfortunately, that fusion is no longer doing what it is supposed to do. I am in Albuquerque waiting for my surgery on December 3rd for a revision and added level of fusion (C5-C7). I pray that I get some needed relief at the hands of the surgeon. I would appreciate your prayer, good wishes, blessings and whatever else you could throw my way.
I’ll be back online soon with some exciting news about my podcast The Fishbowl and its new roll out coming in January.
Today I Am Thankful For:
- a great cupĀ of decaff coffee
- dinner with wonderful friends
- a friend who takes my dog to the vet (she goes over and beyond)
- Burts Bees lip balm
- the promise of some relief
