1 Thessalonians 5_18

When you are in ministry you need to have a tough skin.  Not everyone will like you and sometimes you run into people who will tell you exactly what they think of you.  Even if their information is blatantly wrong, sometimes their words can cut you to the core.  I had a very unfortunate experience happen to me about a year and a half ago and I have just recently realized how hurt I was from this person’s words and accusations.

I’ve held on to them for long enough, have woken up, and am free from those hurtful words!  Unfortunately I have let some things in my ministry suffer and have gotten back on track with the one area that I am most passionate about…women’s ministry.

At the beginning of January I was afraid the retreat our team was putting together would not happen.

It happened.  And it was one of the most fantastic experiences I have ever been a part of.

Our women came together, shared their time and talents and it was done beautifully.  God’s hand was truly a part of the planning and his presence was alive and well during the retreat.  The women of our church are hungry for more and now instead of having one event a year, we will be offering events on a quarterly basis!  I’m not sure what they will look like, but I know there is a need and they are excited.

All I want to do is encourage others…in ministry, my family, at work…it’s the deepest desire of my heart.

This retreat was a moment where I realized that I was in the place where God wanted me.  I’ve spoken at many retreats and planned others before but this particular event was when everything came together in a very special way.

I don’t want to think about the times when I did not listen to God and have missed opportunities.  I am eagerly listening and following and it’s a little scary but really exciting.

Have you felt that nudge or heard God’s voice and ignored it?

It’s time to listen!  Every day not lived with intention is a day of missed opportunities to share the light of Christ.

I’m tired of wasting time.

Have you heard God lately?  Are you ignoring Him because it will take too much effort to go where you are being led?

Join me as I spend some serious time in prayer and work to live with great intention.

No more wasting time.
