I remember the day well.  It was a rainy Saturday in Pasadena, Texas.  It was the day I got married.  The wedding was beautiful, the music was perfect (my hair was frizzy)….and I could not have asked for the day to have been better.

I just wish my young 24 year old self knew what I was in for.  Not that I would have changed anything, but when I see pictures of my wedding day I see naiveté like I’ve never seen!

On that day I had no idea that two beautiful sons with medical issues would be the reasons I live and breathe.

I never dreamed I would change careers much less make New Mexico home.

And I had no clue that the man I married was truly my soul mate, my bestie, and would make my heart flutter after all of these years (and would become an Ordained Pastor).

I look back at my wedding day and I know without a shadow of a doubt that God’s hand brought Joe and I together.

Here’s to another 22 years together, Joe.

I absolutely adore you.

Today I Am Thankful For:

  1. Christmas trees
  2. washi tape
  3. 3 hole punches
  4. Christmas cards
  5. babies

“When the Lord restored the fortunes of Zion, we were like those who dreamed.  Our mouths were filled with laughter, our tongues with songs of joy.  Then it was said among the nations, “The Lord has done great things for them.  The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.  Restore our fortunes, Lord, like streams in the Negev.  Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy. Those who go out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with them.”  Psalm 126 (NIV)
