“My name is Cazandra and I am a Pinterest addict”.
I discovered Pinterest one night in the wee hours with my little boy in the hospital. You need an invitation from a member to join so of course I just went to Facebook and found a friend online that invited me.
I have made many successful crafts and recipes but what I enjoy the most are the inspirational sayings that I use often on my blog.
I just had to share this one (thank you to Thyme is Honey). I don’t see it as a list of “resolutions” and it is definitely more than “One Word” but the list reminds us to do some things that benefit not only ourselves but others.
My favorite is “Give the present of presence.” I am a big believer in the ministry of presence. It gives the person in need encouragement and company and maybe even just knowing they are not alone is the best gift they can receive.
But the person on the other end, the one going to be present with another, now they are in for a blessing like they’ve never experienced. They are taking time to be with someone who they may or may not know. Someone they may or may not be able to relate to…but what they are bringing is presence…the presence of Christ with skin.
What a gift.
I’m not just talking about an elderly person in a nursing home or someone who is home bound.
What about the woman who just lost her husband to cancer and she is raising little children on her own?
What about the family who has relocated to the area and is visiting your church?
There are many people who can be blessed by your presence.
Who is it going to be?
Today I Am Thankful For:
- meeting new people at church
- the sounds my little Corgie makes when she sleeps
- my son’s Senior pictures (they are gorgeous)!
- sitting at the dining room table working while my husband does the same (encouraging presence for each other)
- music
