It’s been a wonderful start to 2016.  A nice breakfast at home, cleaning up the house and putting away the final remnants of Christmas decorations followed by a movie.  And of course we will have our traditional ham for dinner tonight.

I treasure these moments…quiet and calm without expectation.  I am sitting here thinking about the year to come without much of a clue of what it will bring.  I have some projects that I have been working on that just can’t seem to get completed and that is when I decided on my “One Word” for the year…

commit

I love this picture because it embodies the word commit beautifully!  Giving all of yourself, being fearless, diving in and being completely “in.”  This year I want to commit to improving my health and making changes that will last a lifetime.  I also want to commit to completing a few projects that will bring a sense of closure for me.

Along with my word, I want to keep a particular verse close to heart for this year:

Matt 19_26

So often we get to the beginning of a year full of great intention and after a few weeks our dreams and intentions are dust in the wind.  But when you take Matthew 19:26 to heart, how can you lose?!

Today I Am Thankful For:

  1. popcorn
  2. fresh starts
  3. projects to be completed
  4. puppy breath
  5. morning coffe
