Thursday afternoon we found out my mighty, warrior Caeleb needed his port replaced…Friday. I’m thinking, “I am going to have to cancel my trip to Denver.” This coming week is the program’s intensive week in Denver and attendance is required. Would I make it? I couldn’t even think about it.
Friday came and Caeleb’s 1 pm surgery started at 4 and ended at 7. It was a long, stressfull draining day for Joe and I. Caeleb came out doing great. We went up to his room and I was second guessing my trip. And my amazing husband said, “Caeleb is good, there is not a thing you can do here. You need to go to school!”
I drove to Denver today, on my 49th birthday. I had forgotten until Joe and Caeleb called and sang to me on my drive! I even had dinner with one of my favorite hemo Mama Bear friends đŸ™‚
But there is something else special about today. 10 years ago, my precious Dad passed away. And as I sit here in my hotel room, having a little piece of birthday cake, I know he is smiling because no matter what, I am living into my passion. I am doing something I have wanted to do for years…get my Master of Divinity degree.
I can’t thank you all enough for posting your prayers on Facebook for my warrior and for sending me birthday wishes.
My 49th year of life is going to be the best yet.
Today I Am Thankful For:
- chocolate cake
- dinner with a great friend
- seeing the colors change
- snow coming to Denver on Monday!
- My family
So proud of you and your following your dreams and God’s plan for you. You and Joe serve Him, and as such, he uses you to serve others as well.
