I adore my husband. We’ve been together 25 years but truth be told I didn’t know love in the deep, complete, overwhelming, crazy, passionate, selfless way that love can truly be until 18 years ago…when my oldest son was born. I knew my life would change, but I never dreamed it would change me so dramatically. Not only was my son born that day, but the mother in me, the better part of who I would be, the part of me that would love without question or doubt came to life.
- I’ve learned so much in the past 18 years since my first son was born.
- To accept that all I can do is the best I can…children take their own path.
- That prayer for my children is powerful.
- That God has a great sense of humor 🙂
- That I really am my mother.
- That my children are not mine…but that they are gifts from God and I need to do everything I can to lead them to love and serve God.
- How deeply my parents truly loved me.
Eighteen years ago tonight I became a mom.
It’s when my life began. Thank you, God for blessing me so beautifully.
