Has God ever asked you to do something and you want to look him in the eyes and say, “Really?” Whenever I “hear” God it’s usually through feeling a nudge on my heart. It’s like someone pushing me with the tips of their fingers, “Go on, Cazandra, go to her. Talk to her, pray with her. Write a note to her and put it in the mail today, not tomorrow, today.” The list goes on.
God has pushed me to do things that are sometimes pretty easy, but when that nudge comes out of the blue and I want to turn around and pretend I didn’t feel his presence, I know better. There are times I even argue with God, “I really am not comfortable approaching her. I don’t have the words! I have nothing to offer.”
Every, single time I follow through, I am the one who is blessed beyond measure.
- The times I have written a note and sent it in the mail at just the right time.
- The times I lent a hand to a stranger.
- The times I have prayed with someone and had absolutely no words, God has given them to me when I needed them.
- The times I have made a phone call out of the blue.
That nudge, that still, small voice, however it is that you “hear” God, you make take a moment to ask him if you are really the one he is talking to, but follow through. You will be the one who is blessed.
