Where has the time gone? I attempted to follow a read the Bible in a year plan, and did pretty well for about a month, but when I went to Denver in February, I completely got off track and have not been able to catch up. I’ve let my plan go for now, but I am not beating myself up for failing to keep up. I am realizing that my life is filled with many things, especially school and the completion of my book, and my priorities pushed me to put some other things first.

It’s not that my spiritual life is suffering, it’s just different. I find joy in attending worship on Sunday’s (today was especially great) and I find great joy in leading my two women’s studies. The discussions we have are thought provoking and we find many new ways to walk in our faith. It also brings me in community with like minded women, which is hard for me. My study pushes me to be in relationship with others and my Creator.

As I continue my studies, I unearth new concepts that I wish to explore. But the doubt can be overwhelming. Is my academic writing good enough? Will my questions seem simplistic? Do I know enough to be in class with my amazing classmates? That is when I must rely on God to help me squash the doubt and realize that I am where I am supposed to be.

Where are you supposed to be? Are you avoiding a new opportunity for fear of not being enough? Maybe you are feeling a nudge on your heart to do something new, but it sure seems like a lot of work. Whatever it is, wherever you are called, investigate the calling.

You just may realize it’s where you were supposed to be all along.
